Books Read From 1996

To be without a book is to be as an animal. Some of my favorites are The Peloponnesian War (Thucydides, The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Victor Hugo), The Bridge of San Luis Rey (Thornton Wilder), and The Life of Johnson (Boswell). Books reviewed during my sabbatical can be found here. The most influential book I have read in my life is Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis.
